ORIENT new-boy Simon Dawkins admits he is relishing the prospect of playing first-team football after securing his loan move from Spurs.
The 20-year-old striker arrived from White Hart Lane last week on a six-month deal and is convinced he can help put the O's in contention for promotion next season.
"I'm looking forward to this spell at Orient. I've been given this opportunity by Martin Ling to come down and get some first team experience and I'm determined to make the most of it," a delighted Dawkins told the club's official website.
"It's in London so it's local for me and I'm happy to be here.
"My priority is to help the club push for promotion and I believe that is achievable."
Dawkins will slug it out with fellow new signing Ryan Jarvis as well as last season's top scorer Adam Boyd and Wayne Gray for a place in Ling's starting XI as competition for places at Brisbane Road hots up.
